Attorney Peter I. Minton is the esteemed founder and president of Minton Law Group, P.C., located in New York, New York. Originally hailing from the Cleveland, Ohio, area, Mr. Minton graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. During his college years, he gained valuable firsthand financial experience by establishing a student investment group and participating in the university’s rowing team. Following an adventurous period of backpacking through the Middle East and Europe, he pursued his legal education at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as the editor of the American Criminal Law Review.
Mr. Minton has been licensed to practice law since 2007 and holds the authority to appear in all New York state courts. Before establishing Minton Law Group, P.C., he honed his legal skills while working at a prestigious private firm in New York City. Within the firm’s business transactions department, he represented a diverse clientele, including hedge fund proprietors and portfolio companies, working on various intricate matters such as mergers & acquisitions, secured transactions, investment campaigns, and restructurings, among others.
Throughout his illustrious legal career, Mr. Minton has also served as the external general counsel for a range of companies, including an automotive parts manufacturer, a gaming enterprise, and a marketing firm. Additionally, he has been intricately involved in numerous significant business transactions and activist investment campaigns, including a proxy contest for a board of directors and a voting initiative related to the proposed acquisition of an international corporation.
