Peter Meringolo is a legal professional who specializes in business litigation and handling insurance coverage issues. He is a co-founder of PMRK Law, a law firm located in both San Francisco and San Diego, California. His legal expertise encompasses a range of cases, including insurance coverage denials, fraudulent transfers, attorney malpractice, contract breaches, trade secrets misuse, corporate mismanagement, and instances of trademark and copyright infringement.
With an extensive career spanning 24 years in the legal arena, Mr. Meringolo has advocated on behalf of diverse clients, including large corporations, investment banks, small startups, and entrepreneurs. He has represented both defendants and plaintiffs and has taken on leadership roles in various cases, effectively securing favorable outcomes for his clients.
Having graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Meringolo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies in 1991. Subsequently, in 1995, he enrolled at UC Hastings College of the Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1998. During his time at the university, he served as the executive senior editor of the Hastings Law Journal and actively participated in the Hastings Moot Court Board in his final academic year. He also gained valuable experience as a judicial extern under the guidance of the Honorable D. Lowell Jensen for a period of four months.
Following his admission to practice law in San Francisco, Mr. Meringolo joined a prominent law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked for four years, honing his skills and knowledge. Known for his dedication and diligence, he places a strong emphasis on comprehending his clients’ requirements, prioritizing their best interests, and fiercely advocating for their rights.
Beyond his legal pursuits, Mr. Meringolo firmly believes in contributing to the community and engages in various community service initiatives and pro bono legal representation. Presently, he holds board positions at Catholic Charities of San Diego and the Yale Center for Faith & Culture, reflecting his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the legal sphere.
