Robert L. Brenna, Jr., the son of the founder of the predecessor to Brenna Boyce PLLC, is currently serving as a principal attorney at the Rochester, New York-based law firm. His legal practice primarily focuses on representing clients from upstate New York in various areas of law, including catastrophic injuries, wrongful death litigation, product liability, estate litigation, estate and trust planning, and appeals.
Mr. Brenna’s legal expertise extends to cases involving individuals who have suffered harm due to the negligence of others, encompassing scenarios such as motor vehicle accidents, construction site incidents, nursing home abuse, defective drug and product issues, as well as prescription errors. In the realm of estate planning, he is responsible for drafting and reviewing essential documents like wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills. Additionally, Mr. Brenna handles probate and trust litigation matters.

Mr. Brenna pursued his undergraduate studies in psychology with a pre-med concentration at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973. Following two years of employment in the healthcare sector, he redirected his career path and enrolled at the New England School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1978. He has maintained a private law practice since then and also hosts a weekly radio show dedicated to legal topics.
In terms of his legal qualifications, Mr. Brenna is admitted to practice in New York and is authorized to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. He frequently delivers continuing legal education presentations and has served as both a member and past president of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
