Following his cum laude graduation from Texas Wesleyan University, where he earned degrees in political science and paralegal studies, Mr. Coetzee pursued his legal education at Trinity Law School. In 2007, he received the Dean’s Scholarship and the Amjur Award for Criminal Procedure. During this period, he actively participated in the school’s Moot Court program.
In the course of obtaining his legal degree, Mr. Coetzee completed an externship with the Orange County District Attorney’s office and served as a legal clerk for the Honorable Robert Monarch of the Orange County Superior Court. After obtaining his license to practice law in 2008, he subsequently joined another well-respected local law firm, where his primary focus revolved around high-conflict, complex family law litigation. Besides his expertise in family law, Mr. Coetzee has also garnered significant experience in business, real estate, and personal injury litigation.
Deeply engaged in the legal community, Mr. Coetzee maintains membership in the family law sections of the Monterey County Bar Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, including the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
