Since establishing the firm in 2006, Ryan Baker has cultivated a reputation that the media has characterized as “persistent,” a “pioneer,” and a “guiding figure.” His legal triumphs have been described as groundbreaking events and pivotal milestones. Ryan actively participates in courtroom proceedings, presenting cases and advocating for appeals in both state and federal courts across the United States, including the U.S. and California Supreme Courts. He has also presided over arbitration cases with various arbitral organizations, including FINRA.
Ryan exhibits competence in a diverse range of court settings, adeptly representing plaintiffs and defendants alike. His expertise spans various areas of litigation, encompassing commercial and entertainment conflicts, intellectual property disputes (copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent), antitrust matters, securities cases, financial technology disputes, and white-collar crime allegations.

Ryan consistently contributes to a variety of academic and legal publications, including Intellectual Property and Business Law Today. His insights have reached wider audiences through appearances on programs like CNN’s Burden of Proof and NBC Channel 4 News in Los Angeles. Furthermore, his perspectives have been cited on numerous occasions in prominent publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, National Law Journal, and Hollywood Reporter, as well as other respected national business and legal journals.
Dedicating his efforts beyond legal practice, Ryan serves as a member of the Los Angeles Regional executive committee and legal advisory board for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), where he provides crucial legal counsel to support the ADL’s mission against prejudice and hatred. Additionally, he contributes to the California Central District’s pro bono panel, representing disadvantaged individuals in federal court cases concerning civil rights and other matters. Ryan is also affiliated with the American Bar Foundation as a fellow and is an advocate for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Ryan attained his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2000, during which time he was involved with the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. He had previously earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University in 1997, graduating with magna cum laude honors and University Honors.
