Samuel M. Meirowitz, a highly esteemed trial attorney, serves as the co-founder of Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP, offering legal representation to individuals across the New York City metropolitan region. His primary legal focus centers on litigating personal injury and wrongful death cases on behalf of plaintiffs, with a notable specialization in assisting individuals who have suffered harm due to exposure to asbestos and various hazardous materials. Mr. Meirowitz also handles matters involving defective products, such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and provides legal counsel to employees who have experienced sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and wrongful termination. He holds membership in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100.

In 1996, Mr. Meirowitz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Subsequently, he pursued his legal studies at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, a division of Yeshiva University. Following his graduation, he began his legal career at a firm specializing in bad faith insurance claims for policyholders. He later served as a prosecutor in the Office of the Bronx District Attorney and subsequently worked as a senior trial attorney at one of the nation’s leading plaintiff firms. In 2015, he co-founded his current firm. He is licensed to practice law in New York and holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.

Throughout his tenure in private practice, Mr. Meirowitz has achieved numerous substantial settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of his clients, including a significant award of nearly $4 million in an asbestos-related trial. Beyond his courtroom work, he has shared his legal expertise as an adjunct professor at Queens College, part of the City University of New York.
