In her role as Co-Managing Partner at Romano Law PLLC, Shaliz boasts an extensive career spanning more than a decade, specializing in corporate transactions, employment, and entertainment law matters. Shaliz brings a pragmatic approach to her role as a legal advisor to entrepreneurs, business proprietors, and both domestic and international corporations, guiding them through the myriad legal challenges that arise in the course of business operations.

Within the realm of Entertainment and Media, Shaliz collaborates with a diverse array of industry professionals, including producers, directors, writers, novelists, talent managers, artists, theatrical performers, reality television stars, designers, and social media influencers. She aids her clients in navigating the legal intricacies inherent to the various stages of film production and television development. In her work with production companies and film clients, Shaliz offers consistent counsel on crucial matters such as the establishment and structuring of single-purpose entities, securing proper chain of title, negotiating option agreements, handling investor documents and financing, overseeing production agreements, licenses, and releases, as well as assisting with clearance and distribution concerns. She is also well-versed in contract negotiations for members and signatories of esteemed organizations like WGA, DGA, and SAG-AFTRA.

Shaliz frequently shares her expertise by speaking at various events and institutions on legal topics. She has delivered lectures on Entertainment Law at esteemed venues such as the New York City Bar, Writers Guild of America, Producers Guild of America, Columbia University M.F.A. Program, New York Law School, and Brooklyn Law School. Additionally, she has taken the lead in conducting Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses on Entertainment Law for fellow attorneys. As a dedicated member of the New York State Bar Association, she actively participates in the Business Law and Entertainment, Sports & Art Law Sections.

Beyond her legal affiliations, Shaliz holds the distinction of being a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (known for the Emmys). She is also a member of prestigious organizations such as BAFTA, the Hollywood Radio and TV Society (HRTS), and Chief.
