Spencer J. Pahlke serves as an associate at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, a law firm in San Francisco that specializes in representing plaintiffs dealing with personal injury cases in California and various jurisdictions. Within the Walkup firm, Spencer’s primary area of expertise lies in handling severe cases of personal injury and wrongful death, which encompass issues such as defective medical devices, vehicular accidents, medical negligence, and hazardous conditions on both public and private premises.

In 2007, Spencer graduated from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. During his time at Berkeley, he was an active participant in the legal community, contributing as a member of the California Law Review and serving as an associate editor for Ecology Law Quarterly. However, his true passion lay in trial advocacy. Throughout his academic journey, Spencer achieved notable success as a competitor on multiple trial teams, securing victory in the Bay Area trial competition hosted by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and earning two prestigious top advocate awards.

Presently, Spencer not only imparts knowledge on trial advocacy matters as a lecturer at Boalt Hall, but also takes charge of overseeing the school’s external trial competition program. He further dedicates his efforts to coaching three distinct trial advocacy teams. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Spencer remains committed to advancing legal education by actively participating in the development and co-chairing of educational programs in collaboration with Berkeley Law. These programs have a special emphasis on furnishing training to aspiring young attorneys.
