Recognized for his outstanding contributions to jurisprudence and public service, he has received the Annual Award from the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Pro Bono Award from the New York State Bar Association, and an Award of Special Recognition from the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association.In 1970, Mr. Cohn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from New York University, where he distinguished himself as a member of the Dean’s List. Subsequently, he pursued his Juris Doctor degree at Brooklyn Law School, graduating in 1973. Later, he obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.Mr. Cohn has an extensive history of involvement with professional organizations, including memberships in the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association (BWBA), and the Brooklyn Bar Association (BBA). He is also a founding member of the Volunteer Lawyers Project.Furthermore, Mr. Cohn serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) and holds the role of District Delegate and Member of the Executive Committee for the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). Leveraging his extensive experience in New York’s state and federal courts, he approaches each case with a comprehensive and results-driven strategy, whether representing corporate entities or individuals.
