Steven Goldburd serves as a partner at Goldburd McCone LLP, a law firm based in New York City. His legal focus is entirely on tax law, offering legal representation to individuals and companies across the globe. He handles a wide range of tax-related matters, including tax audits, criminal tax defense, international transactions and their tax implications, tax litigation, and IRS collection activities. Mr. Goldburd’s professional background extends to tax accounting, having worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte & Touche and a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

During his undergraduate years, Mr. Goldburd attended Brooklyn College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He later pursued his legal education at Fordham University School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 2003. While in law school, he played a role as an associate editor for the Fordham International Law Journal. Mr. Goldburd further enhanced his expertise in tax law by successfully completing the graduate tax program at New York Law School, earning an LL.M. in taxation in 2014.

Mr. Goldburd is authorized to practice law in all New York state courts and holds admissions to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Recognized highly by his peers in the legal community, Mr. Goldburd has been honored with a place on the annual list of Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the American Society of Legal Advocates. He actively participates in various legal organizations, including the Committee on Taxation of the New York County Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association.
