Mr. Shepard pursued a major in government and foreign affairs at the University of Virginia, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001. Following his service with the Peace Corps, he enrolled at Yale Law School and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2007. Subsequently, he clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court and for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He then continued his service to the nation as an attorney in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Throughout his career, Mr. Shepard has remained committed to private practice with his current firm.
