Mr. Burlingham graduated with a history bachelor’s degree from Biola University in La Mirada, California, achieving summa cum laude honors. He further pursued his education, obtaining both a law degree and a master of laws degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. He obtained his California law license in 1979 and holds certification in family law from The State Bar of California.

Aside from his extensive experience in litigation, Mr. Burlingham possesses expertise in collaborative law, an approach that prioritizes cooperation to reach advantageous resolutions in family and divorce cases.

His legal practice extends to federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Having been a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association since 1979, Mr. Burlingham is affiliated with the Placer County Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, and The Birth Connection, for which he holds the position of chair and board member. Additionally, he serves as a board member for the Sacramento Collaborative Practice Group and contributes his time to volunteer initiatives led by Alliance Defending Freedom and the Pacific Legal Foundation.
