In 1990, the same year she graduated from law school, Ms. Barta obtained her license to practice from The State Bar of California. She is authorized to practice before all U.S. District Courts in California, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th and 11th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

As a prominent figure in her field, Ms. Barta authored “Greed on Trial,” a book that highlights cases she personally handled involving the wrongful termination of doctors who opposed insurance policies to provide appropriate medical care to their patients. Her book received the prestigious 2018 Indies Gold Award.

Additionally, Ms. Barta remains actively engaged within her legal community. She holds memberships in several esteemed professional associations, including the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
