Thomas A. Vogele, an attorney, is the creator and leader of Thomas Vogele & Associates, A.P.C., which maintains offices in Costa Mesa and Salinas, California. Before his legal career, Mr. Vogele had a prosperous business background. He presently represents business clientele in State and Federal Courts at trial and appellate levels, operating from locations in Orange and Monterey Counties and catering to clients across California. His legal expertise encompasses a diverse range of fields such as bankruptcy, business law, commercial disputes, contracts, and real estate.

In 2018, Mr. Vogele and his firm achieved the most substantial fraudulent transfer judgment in California, amounting to $10.2 million, and secured a place in the Top Ten for a breach of contract judgment. The following year, they obtained California’s largest real property judgment of $40 million and earned a spot in the Top Twenty for a jury verdict.

In December 2015, Mr. Vogele and his firm successfully handled the final personal Chapter 11 case with a “cram-down” order, resulting in savings exceeding $1 million for the client. The subsequent month, the legal landscape changed with In re Zachary, which extended the application of absolute priority rules to all Chapter 11 cases, not solely business-related ones.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and attending the Kellogg School of Management, Mr. Vogele relocated to California. He gained experience in banking, consulting, and manufacturing industries before pursuing a law degree from Chapman University Fowler School of Law.

During his time in law school, Mr. Vogele actively participated in the university’s moot court executive and honors boards, as well as the mock trial board. He honed his legal skills through practical experience as an extern for a federal judge.

Admitted to the California state courts in 2007, Mr. Vogele is authorized to practice law in federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for California’s Northern, Southern, Central, and Eastern Districts. He is also a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit.

Following his time in law school, Mr. Vogele worked at a private law firm before establishing Thomas Vogele & Associates, A.P.C. Throughout his legal career, he has been instrumental in several significant cases, securing substantial verdicts and settlements. He is an active member of various legal associations, including the Monterey County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association of Orange County, and the International Trademark Association.
