Mr. Miller’s academic journey includes graduating summa cum laude from Whitworth University in 1988, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, and receiving the prestigious President’s Cup for academic excellence. Subsequently, he secured his Juris Doctor from the Boalt Hall School of Law (now UC Berkeley School of Law) in 1991. During his time there, he achieved membership in the Order of the Coif and contributed as an associate editor to the California Law Review.

In 1997, Mr. Miller integrated into the Northern California branch of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Across a span of nearly twenty years, he progressively advanced from a litigation associate to litigation counsel, ultimately reaching partnership status in 2002. During his tenure at Skadden, he adeptly navigated a diverse array of business-related disputes, encompassing allegations of unfair business practices and competition. His legal prowess extended to representing special committees and board of directors members in matters of SEC investigations and internal corporate inquiries. Notably, he championed a class action lawsuit against the NFL concerning retired football players. In 2016, he undertook the role of establishing and managing the Silicon Valley branch of Valle Makoff LLP, leading to his departure from Skadden.
